Meet Aserto at Identity Week, Devopsdays, API World, Global AppSec, and KubeCon
In the ever-evolving landscape of cloud-native technologies, the importance of secure and efficient identity and access management cannot be overstated. As businesses and organizations adopt containerized applications and microservices architectures, ensuring proper access controls becomes paramount.
But how do you do that?
Here are a few industry events where you can learn more about authorization for today’s applications, and meet the Aserto team:
Aserto sponsors Identity Week America 2023 in Washington, D.C., October 3-4, 2023
We’re thrilled to share that we are sponsoring Identity Week America, a premier event focused on identity verification, access control, and authentication.
If you’re attending the conference we’d love to meet you. Schedule a time to meet with us, or stop by stand S70 in the start-up city to discuss your access control needs.
“Authorization: the next platform service” session at Devopsdays in Indianapolis, IN, October 5-6, 2023
Meet us at Devopsdays Indianapolis, a community conference that focuses on IT improvement. On October 5 Aserto principal engineer, Ronen Hilewicz, dives into the world of authorization at 12:45pm (ET). “Fine-grained authorization” session at API World in Santa Clara, CA, October 24-26, 2023; virtual on Nov 2, 2023
The world’s largest API and microservices event. Aserto CEO, Omri Gazitt, will dive into the world of fine-grained authorization: what it is, why you need it, and how to add it to your applications without all of the heavy lifting.
Join Omri for the in-person session on October 26 at 9am (PT), or virtually on November 2 at 9am (PT) to learn more. For more about the session, go here.
If you can’t make the session, feel free to book some time to meet at API World.

The OWASP application security conference. Join Aserto CEO, Omri Gazitt, on October 30th at 10:30am (ET) to learn how to combat the #1 threat on the OWASP top 10 list - Broken Access Controls.
In this session, Omri will cover the principles and patterns of modern access control systems, the two technical approaches that have emerged, and the strengths and weaknesses of each as foundational models for a robust access control system. He will also share a couple open-source projects you can use today to add fine-grained access controls to your applications.

As organizations increasingly transition to cloud-native environments and adopt microservices architectures, traditional approaches to identity and access management prove insufficient. In this post, we have shared a few upcoming industry events where you can learn more about cloud-native authorization and relevant open-source projects.
Aserto sponsors EIC and Identiverse, and speaks at KubeCon EU
Identity and access have always been connected in the hip. Yet, while identity has moved to the cloud, access control has not. We’ve proposed five principles for cloud-native authorization and built Aserto based on those principles. We're spreading the word in upcoming events we are sponsoring and speaking at, including European Identity and Cloud conference and Identiverse 2023. We hope to see you there!
